The importance of an AVI player

The AVI format was introduced by Microsoft way back in 1992. The full form of AVI is Audio Video Interleave and it allows audio and video to be stored in a multimedia format easily. Multiple streaming audio and video is also possible with AVI file extensions, but these features are not used very often. What AVI is however used for regularly is to play video and audio in PC’s.
